The Governing Council of Borno State University (BOSU) has announced the appointment of Engr. Professor Babagana Gutti from the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Maiduguri, as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University. The appointment was approved by His Excellency, Professor (Engr.) Babagana Umara Zulum MNI GCON FNSE, Executive Governor of Borno State, and the Visitor of Borno State University.
The Governing Council of Borno State University (BOSU) has announced the appointment of Engr. Professor Babagana Gutti from the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Maiduguri, as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University. The appointment was approved by His Excellency, Professor (Engr.) Babagana Umara Zulum MNI GCON FNSE, Executive Governor of Borno State, and the Visitor of Borno State University.Effective from October 18, 2024, Professor Gutti will serve a single five-year term. As the Vice-Chancellor, he assumes the role of the Chief Executive and Chief Accounting Officer of the University, with the responsibility of overseeing the daily management of human, financial, and material resources. He will also chair the University's Senate and serve as an ex-officio member of the Governing Council.The appointment marks a significant step in the University’s continued commitment to Academic excellence and strategic growth, with Professor Gutti expected to provide academic and administrative leadership and ensure the implementation of the University's mission and vision.On behalf of the Governing Council, the Registrar/Secretary to the Council, Dr. Zanna M. Kashim, extended congratulations to Professor Gutti, expressing confidence in his leadership as BOSU continues to advance in its Academic pursuits.
