Chairman of Council and Pro Chancellor Alhaji Dr. Indimi led a Saudi delegation on a Visit to Borno State University. Vice Chancellor BOSU, Professor Umar Kyari Sandabe, has again called for assistance in form of intervention in the University from Corporate Organizations, Agencies and well spirited Individuals.

Vice Chancellor BOSU, Professor Umar Kyari Sandabe, has again called for assistance in form of intervention in the University from Corporate Organizations, Agencies and well spirited Individuals. He made the call on Monday when the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of BOSU Council, Alh. Dr. Muhammadu Indimi OFR, led a high powered delegation from the Saudi Royal Family on a visit to the University. The VC said, the appeal became necessary as this days, Government alone cannot solve all the needs of the University.He briefed the visitors on establishment of the University and the journey so far and hoped that, the visit will yield positive result.He used the visit to thanked the Saudi Authorities for donating thousands of copies of the Holy Qur'an and other Islamic books which was distributed to, Islamic organizations and Masjids among others. He said the university will be graduating its first set this February, 2024.Professor Sandabe commended the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia donating copies of Holy Qur’an and other islamic books, which BOSU distributed across the states. He however, solicited for more support from Saudia Arabia to advance the educational studies of the university. He said, the university is very young and need a lot of Sciences and Medical equipment adding that government alone cannot fully come to the universities demand, hence the university need to reach out to rich nations for more support.Director Works Physical Planning and Development Engr. Muhammad Habib briefed the delegation on Intervention received especially from TetFund which amount into Billions of Naira while NEDC, NNPCL, FIRS, NITDA and Federal Ministry of Agriculture among others also assisted the University.In his remark, Chairman of Council and Pro-Chancellor BOSU Alh. Dr Muhammadu Indimi commended the visitors as it is their first time to be in Nigeria, and also in Maiduguri, so he took them to the young university.Leader of the delegation Prince Abdul-Aziz Faisal Bin Saud appreciated BOSU for its effort and assures of their support.
