The Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Services Prof. Haruna D. Dlakwa expressed appreciation and gave accolades to the ICT department for organizing such a timely workshop to the stakeholders of the portal, he added, HODs and Exams Officers should pay necessary attention to the presentations that would be made during the workshop and seek necessary clarification as well as contribute meaningfully for our collective betterment.
The ICT Coordinator, Mahmud Muhammad welcomed the Heads of department and Examination Officers, gave a background of the portal and urged the colleagues to listen to the presentations and ask questions where there is an issue for clarification.
He added, we should note that academic records are the assets of every academic institution, therefore, the need for properly manage it cannot be overemphasized. Infact ,we have to seriously secure it from abuse by hackers which could include students and internet bystanders whose job oftentime is to cause havoc to thebinternet community users.
Papers were presented by Abdulsalam Mintar and Zanna Lawan Ajimi which later on, practical session was conducted by all the presenters and participants.
At the end of the presentations, questions and answers sessions were held too and comments from participants were taken note of.
