The Committee led by a renowned Prof. Abubakar Kundiri, former Vice-chancellor said, they were at BOSU to inspect the teaching and research facilities and learning condition of the university in accordance to the policy of NUC.
He said, though it is his first time of being in BOSU, but he feels at home seeing familiar faces and also because of the warm reception he received.
In the course of carrying out their assignment, the committee will be interacting with some key members of the management and staff of BOSU like the Registrar, Dean of Student affair, University Librarian, Director of Health Service, and the Student Union Government.
He further added that, they will also inspect the facilities in place to assess the standard.DVC Academic Services Professor Haruna D. Thlakwa who received the august visitors, said the University is happy to see them and that all doors are open for them to carry out their duty effectively. He added that, they can interact with any member of the management, staff or the students. He equally promised to provide all information and support needed by the NUC.
Prof. Thlakwa said the facilities which include University Clinic, Hostels, Classrooms, Library are all accessible and ready for inspection. He added University has provided hostels for student accommodation but due to the security situation of the country, in the country, students are not yet allocated hostels until all security measures are adequately put in place. Prof. Thlakwa once again on behalf of the Vice-chancellor, welcomed the NUC delegation and employ them to feel free and carry out their assignment. The University is ever ready receive advise on how best to improve and be efficient.
